Ghost Whisperer - Undead Comic

This show is corny but entertaining… I now have it scheduled as a season recording on my DVR. I admit that the main reason I watch the show is because of JLH and her amazing “talents”… This week guest starred Katey Sagal, Elaine Hendrix and Jed Rees and they gave co-star Aisha Tyler a bit more screen time than usual…

Smallville

Tonight’s episode, although a repeat, was a good one… this was the episode in which Chloe reveals to Clark that she knows his secret. Having Chloe know his secret opened up new things for the show (at least since Pete left) … and Clark and Lana get together… the lousy part of this episode was that Clark loses his powers at the end which made the next couple episodes kina boring…

Joey

This scene in Tijuana brought back memories... well, I don't actually remember but I have pictures...
First time I’ve ever seen this show… I didn’t realized they made hour long sitcoms… A bit too long for me… I’m more of an action, drama, scifi kind of person – I like comedy but in smaller doses… This show was ok but not definitely not “season pass” worthy…

Two and a Half Men

I’ve seen this show once or twice. Charlie Sheen enrolls his nephew into ballet classes so that he can pursue the teacher… eh… I’m picky about my sitcoms… for me this is another one that seems to fall into the average category…

Alias - The Horizon

Sydney and Vaugh on in a tropical paradise?... Looks like they’re trying to capture some of that LOST success. I’ve never been much of a fan of those “fantasy” episodes... ya know the ones where most of the story focuses around a dream or hypnosis or some other kind of alternate reality where anything can happen because it’s not real… The one thing that I did find interesting about how they did this episodes “flashbacks” was every scene that they flashed back to with Sydney and Vaugh were scenes from previous episodes that they re-enacted for this storyline…
Something else that I noticed about the conversations between Sydney and Vaughn were how Vaughn kept saying that he had to “leave” or how Sydney had to “let him go”… they never said anything about him dying… which falls into my theory about Vaughn not being dead but just in hiding until Prophet Five is taken down – so my prediction about the ending of the show will be the taking down of Prophet Five and Vaughn coming out of hiding and the show ending with him and Sydney living happily ever after…

Amy Archer was back guest-starring in this episode and so is Sydny's mom, Irina Derevko (Lena Olin), who is back and up to her old tricks again...

...Looks like this show is on hiatus until March…

LOST

Tonight’s episode was a repeat so I only watched the first few minutes… I’ve mentioned this before but I’ll say it again… why are they always washing their cloths in the salty ocean water?

John Lock on Alias… I was just flipping through the channels and came across an old episode of Alias from a couple years ago… I’ve seen every episode of Alias but I never realized that Locke also played "F.B.I. Asst. Director Kendall" on 18 episodes of Alias… he always seemed to have one of those familiar faces but I never realized how extensive of a résumé he had…

Everybody Hates Chris

I’ve never seen the show “Veronica Mars” so I thought I'd give it a try and set the DVR to record it… well, there must have been some change in the lineup cuz when I went to watch – instead of Veronica Mars it was an episode of Everybody Hates Chris and another show called Love Inc. (which I didn’t watch…)
As for EHC… eh… It was my second time seeing this show and like the last time it was ok but I wouldn’t go out of my way to watch… the only part of the show that I laughed at was the very end when the mother got mad at the babysitter and said “I gonna kick her ass – hold my wig” and pulled off her wig...

Stacked - iPod

A 27 year old playing a 17 year old who’s pretending to be a 23 year old… but who cares how old she really is… she’s quite the hottie… Keri Lynn Pratt (imagine that.. an attractive woman on TV…)

The line of the night came from Chistopher Lloyd:
Gavin - “This woman I’ve been seeing is not exactly who she said she was.” Harold – “I’ve been there, It’s quite awkward… the key is to check for an Adam’s apple…”

That 70's Show - Fun It

Stealing Fatso the burger clown
Oh, I get it!... He is gay!... Last week I commented on how I didn’t like the new guy and Donna connection that they seemed to be heading towards cuz’ they didn’t seem to go together well because he seemed too gay… well, he hasn’t exactly stepped out yet but with a few comments he made tonight it’s obvious that’s where they are heading with this new character… I guess they have to add a gay character to the show… every show has one…
…and did I miss something? Where’s Hyde’s hot stripper wife? Just a few scenes with her in it make the show that much better…

Arrested Development - "Prison Break-In"

James Lipton guest starred on tonight’s episode in his recurring role as prison warden Stefan Gentles…
…and a little “blooper” I caught in tonight’s show – when the wheelchair falls off the lift, you can see the string that was holding it (pic below – on the left is the actual pic on the right I highlighted the string in red… you can’t se it very well in a still photo but it’s pretty obvious when it’s moving…

American Dad

Repeat – Ahh… nothing like poking a little fun at the plight of ex-communist Eastern European countries… “Ah! A nickel! You see this? I quit. I open my own hotel!

Family Guy

Repeat – I cracked up the first time I saw this scene with Stewie, pictured above … if you haven’t seen this episode well it’s your loss cuz’ I’m not gonna explain it… there’s no telling who may be around…

The War at Home

The gay episode… I don’t want a gay episode (not that there’s anything wrong with that) … I just want an all Kaylee all bikini episode… is that too much to ask? … well they did show a bit of mom cleavage – not bad…

But not only do they not show Kaylee in enough skimpy outfits but she was wearing the same exact outfit that she wore last week… a yellow shirt and a pair of jeans with a rip on the left leg… so is it gay that I notice and comment on the outfits she wears?

Flutie! Flutie! Flutie!

Patriots played a good game today and had enough of a lead that they were able to give Brady a chance to rest a minor injury in the 4th and put in Flutie, giving him a little play time against his old team. I was at the Buffalo vs Patriots game back in ’98 when Flutie and the Buffalo Bills were “robbed” of a win by a bad call by the referees that allowed NE to continue a drive and win the game… notice I put the word “robbed” in quotes… yes, it was a bad call but I think that bad called just balanced out another bad call earlier in the game that allowed Buffalo to score a touchdown… plus, the NE bad call wasn’t the game winner – they still were behind and had to score…

Numb3rs

Hey! It’s that wacky, neurotic guy from “Ally McBeal” … whatever happened to her? (besides Harrison Ford)
Pretty catchy title.. a “3” instead of an “e” cuz’ the programs is about… like... numbers… get it? The 3 is a number but looks like a backwards “E” so they can spell the word “numbers” with an actual number… get it? … Numb3rs? …yeah well, that’s kind of how I feel about this show…. I actually watched the pilot episode of this show almost a year ago but forgot about it and didn’t realize it was still on the air. When I saw the pilot it wasn’t half bad but I thought “can they actually make an ongoing series with the premise that they've set up?”… the reason being that they have to figure some way to use math in every episode to solve the crime – not only that but the math genius isn't even in the police department, he’s a detective's brother so the detective always has to go to his brother for help in solving cases… seems like an interesting idea for a movie but can you keep doing that week after week – well, I guess so since the show is its second season…

Let’s see if they can solve this mystery with a Numb3rs equation … he throws 3 darts into the blue area of the dartboard but when he walks over to retrieve the darts they have moved into the red and yellow rings… hmmmm

Ghost Whisperer - Shadow Boxer

I never really have much to say about this show and why should I?... as they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words” ... but, as a side note to add to those thousand words, Sonia Braga (in the pic with JLH) guest starred in this weeks episode and for all those Alias fans out there that thought she looked familiar… she did a short stint on the show playing "Sophia Vargas/Elena Derevko"

Smallville - Lexmas

Ok, so it was an entertaining episode and interesting to see how Lex's life might have been if he chose a different path... and I realize that The Christmas Story is a classic... but how many movies, shows, plays, musicals, etc... can they create with some sort of variation on the story? ...Like I said, it was interesting but falls a little short in the originality and creativity department...
...and if the whole point of showing Lex what could be was to encourage him to change his ways, why show his wife dying? I know Garth Brooks sings that touching song about "the dance" but don't you think the info about that "dance" was a little too much too soon?

Everybody Hates Chris

Well, I wouldn’t say I hate Chris but this show wasn’t as good as I thought it would be… it was mildly entertaining but it didn’t have a single laugh out loud moment… not even a chuckle… maybe it was just this episode, I guess they can’t all be winners so I’ll give it another chance before I start tearing it apart…

Alias

Tonight’s episode was actually pretty good… I’ve been kinda’ disappointed with the show for the last two seasons. The whole Vaughn and Sydney relationship thing they had going had got really boring and was dragging on too long and Sloan being there and in charge was just a little too ridiculous and unbelievable given his history with everyone but tonight’s was good because it focused more on the mission than the interoffice relationships. I like good characters and drama but I watch Alias more for its James Bond appeal than I do for the soap opera drama… and the show had become more of a soap than an action show… the great thing about the show early on was the secret agent action and highly dynamic storyline but for a while it seeded that the writers fell in love with certain characters and couldn’t get rid of a few of them so they kept writing them back in using implausible circumstances… but since the show has been cancelled I guess it’s a moot point…

Stacked

I didn’t mean to watch this show tonight… I was sitting there, it was on… this show is like background department music… you listen to it if it’s on but you don’t miss it when it’s gone. To be honest I don’t know how a show like this is still on and they are canceling Arrested Development – tis’ a shame…

That 70's Show

Donna and Eric break up?.. Well, it’s not like we didn’t see that coming since Eric isn’t on the show anymore but I hope it’s not heading in the direction they eluded to tonight… The new guy is… well… GAY! Big time gay… gay hair… gay attitude… and well, just gay (not that there’s anything wrong with that!) It just doesn’t flow right… Donna and that dude just doesn’t have any chemistry… We’ll see…

My Name Is Earl

“I’m Johnny Bubble Wrap pop-pop-pop-pop-popping with you live…”

Harland Williams, the star of such classics as Rocket Man and Half Baked, had a small bit part in this week’s episode as the radio DJ, Johnny Bubble…

I could go on about how great this show is but I figure a few pics of the hottest "trailer park white trash" chick since Joe Dirt would suffice…

Monday Night Football - Eagles vs Seahawks

Have you ever seen a Monday night game where the stadium was this empty (see pic) at the end of the fourth quarter… the Eagle got KILLED! That wasn’t even a game… you need two teams to have a game and the Seahawks were the only team that showed up tonight…

The Office - Christmas Party

Funny bur for me this show is still second rate to the British version…. The scene at the end was pretty good when Meredith walked into Michael’s office and took off her top and Michael snapped a quick picture with his digital camera and walked out…

Arrested Development

Arrested Development fans are about to enter a period of morning… only a few episodes left and now Rita is gone…

American Dad - Pilot

This week was a repeat of the pilot episode… American Dad doesn’t have quite the same shock and irreverence as Family Guy but the Bush talking to God on the phone scene was pretty good. Truth be told I didn’t find it very irreverent… I’m sure if God had a phone the conversation wouldn’t have been much different…

Family Guy

Repeat – This episode was a parody of the reality TV show the Bacheloette… Brian, the dog becomes a contestant and ends up winning… I hate most reality TV shows so anything that makes fun of them can’t be all bad…
Naked cartoon characters… what’s funnier than a couple fat naked cartoon dudes wrestling?

The War At Home

Last week I said I wouldn’t watch this show again but I have to admit, I did watch it again this week… in fast-forward! I can’t handle this show but Kaylee DeFer is such a hottie…

Ghost Whisperer - Pilot

The dude from Prison Break was the guest star on this episode of Ghost Whisperer and truth be told… Playing the ghost of a dead Vietnam soldier was way more realistic than the situations that arise in Prison Break…
…and of course, what’s an episode of Ghost Whisperer without JLH showing off her… er... talents… 

Invasion - Steppin' it up

BAM! – They finally stepped it up a notch! After weeks of this show just dragging and not really showing much progression, they made up for it tonight… A couple of the main characters finally getting some sort of answer, direction and confirmation that something is happening and it’s not just their overactive imagination. And they finally gave us a good look at the “alien” (EBE) and how it attacks and changes people and how it affects those people… just when I was about to give up on this show they come in with a game winning drive… Let’s see if they can keep the up intensity or if now that they revealed a lot of information are they just going to start airing a bunch of “filer” episodes… Ya know those episodes that have nothing to do with moving the plot along. Episodes that stand alone with little mini-stories that tie up neatly at the end of each episode and don’t carry on from week to week. So many TV shows start off with a good story but then the writers seem to run out of ideas and so the only good episodes are the season opener and finale… everything in between are just filler…

LOST Survivor Total

Well this pic is even better than last weeks if you want to get a shot of the rest of the island castaways… I count 35 survivors in this pic plus the baby (not a survivor since it was born there) that makes 36… Ana Lucia, Sawyer and Kate who weren’t at the funeral makes it a total of 39 people left … am I missing anyone? (I’m not including Walter or anyone else who is missing, dead or presumed dead)

Criminal Minds? I think not!

Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my career: prepare to die.
Criminal Minds? …The only thing criminal about this show is that it hasn’t been cancelled! The characters are so one dimensional and the “twisting” plot was so cliché and formulaic that it was patronizing. It was like watching paint dry on a clear day…you could see it coming from the very beginning and boring as hell … not a single surprise or interesting twist as the story unfolded. They threw in a couple oddball characters at the very beginning that you immediately dismiss because they’re too obvious and then they throw in the “extremely obvious” suspect (which the local sheriff always falls for) but you already know who the murderer is, you’ve known since the first moment the character was introduced … the one dimensional character they threw in at the beginning who is the complete opposite of what the evidence point to… so cliché that it was aggravating to watch…

Stacked

They got a tough choice with this show… create a show with good writing, acting and characters… or just have a bimbo star with big boobs and then guest star other hot chicks with big boobs… I’ll watch as long as they keep the hot guest stars coming…

That 70's Show

Get rid of Eric and Kelso… and replace them with a tall, hot, blonde stripper… I LIKE IT!

This week on “Prison (give me a) Break”

That’s it? That’s it until March? They didn’t even end on a cliffhanger. Lincoln sitting in the electric chair – that’s a cliffhanger… Michael and the gang outside the prison walls with no ride – that’s a cliffhanger… The plan not working so they have to head back to their cells to try another time… that ain’t no cliffhanger… This was the season finale and it was the most boring and uneventful episode… Oh, and Abruzzi getting slashed in the neck and sent to the hospital… that’s just so they can bring him back when the show resumes and he’ll have a god excuse to be pissed off…

Now for more of my Prison Break “highly-improbable” list

  • LJ wanted for murder, Veronica missing since her apartment blew up and Nick with a bullet wound – all hanging out at the hospital without any inquiry or suspicion from the police.
  • The crew hanging out in the guard room “working” for how long now?... without any supervision or inspection or questions about how long it’s taking them or no guards hearing any noise as the dig through concrete…
  • Agent #2 deciding to become a good guy but instead of playing it cool before he decides to pack up his family and make a run for it – He decides to just not show up for work while they take their time packing up the entire house and making flight plans… he deserved to be shot just for being such an idiot…
  • Bad guy agent #1 confronting agent#2 about turning on him and knowing that he’s was in the alley meeting the lawyer (how he know what ally to find him is a mystery) he kills agent #2 but doesn’t bother looking for the lawyer who was just crouched behind the car watching the whole thing…
  • Is there anybody really stupid enough to fall for the reverse psychology thing they pulled on the guards… “the place is all wet and gonna get moldy but we don’t want to work here all night unsupervised…”
  • …and how did Michael climb the rope and that was tied to the grate and still manage to lift the grate when he got to the top… I don’t get it…
The only ray of light from watching this episode tonight didn't come from the show but from the commercial for the new season of 24 ... Jack is back baby!

American Dad

I wonder how many people that watch this week’s episode have ever seen Sunset Boulevard. (The beginning of the show is taken directly from the movie) A Gloria Swanson movie from 1950 doesn't seem like their core audience...
I like the part where he’s shows off his Han Solo in carbonite and refers to it as an “antiquity” … they way Indiana Jones would have referred to it…

Family Guy

Peter, realizing for the first time that he’s fat, starts a group called “the Society for the Acceptance of Fat Men”. They get together in a room, eat, fart and breath heavy…Another season of Family Guy is now out on DVD and I thought I'd share this just so I'd have a reason to post this pic of Brian slapping Lois's ass...
